Caio Borralho may be close to getting the fight he wants in the UFC. After defeating Reinier de Ridder at UFC 326, the Brazilian challenged Dricus Du Plessis to his next fight in the organization and began pressuring the former champion on social media. Now, he is just waiting for official contact to finalize the potential confrontation.
In a recent Instagram post, Du Plessis appeared training and indicated that his return to the octagon may be near. The South African highlighted that he remains motivated, driven by a type of ambition that is not easily satisfied.

Aware of the activity, Borralho interacted with the post and suggested August as a possible date for the duel.
"August?", the nerd commented.
In response, Du Plessis indicated that the outcome of the matchup doesn't depend solely on them and stated that the Brazilian will be informed at the appropriate time.
" Caio Borralho, they'll let you know," Du Plessis replied.

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, Caio Borralho reiterated his desire to face Dricus Du Plessis and emphasized that, for him, the best fighters in the world need to face each other. In the Fighting Nerds athlete's view, a duel of this caliber would be fair to both the fans and the UFC itself.
“I would tell him that the best fighters in the world have to test themselves against each other. And we are among the best fighters in the world, and it's only fair for the fans, for the UFC, for those who enjoy the sport, that we also fight against each other, see who is the best and who wins,” pointed out Caio Borralho.
