The UFC Hall of Fame has received another heavyweight member. MMA legend Demetrious Johnson had his successful career in the octagon recognized by the sport's biggest organization and was immortalized in history. The announcement was made by the company itself during UFC Seattle , an event held this Saturday (28).
Present at the 'Climate Pledge Arena', the American, as could be expected, openly expressed his happiness at the achievement and the tribute he received. It is worth highlighting that, at his peak, 'Mighty Mouse', one of the most complete and intelligent professionals in MMA, made his mark as the flyweight champion (up to 57 kg).

Johnson was so dominant that, in 2017, he became the champion with the most title defenses in UFC history (11 times) and, to this day, holds the record. However, in 2018, despite the fighter's success in the octagon, the company surprised everyone by replacing him with Ben Askren, a standout in ONE Championship, due to Askren's lack of popularity and commercial success. Nevertheless, years later, DJ's value was recognized.

Demetrious Johnson , 39, is an MMA legend and considered by many to be one of the best fighters in history. The American began his career in the sport in 2009, debuted in the UFC in 2011, became flyweight champion in 2012, and fought his last fight in 2023. In ONE Championship, 'Mighty Mouse' also won the title in that category and is a member of the Hall of Fame.
In this format, the veteran built a record of 25 wins, four losses, and one draw. His main victories were over Adriano Moraes (twice), Henry Cejudo , John Dodson , Joseph Benavidez (twice), and Kyoji Horiguchi.
