UFC legend points out Adesanya's mistake that cost him the victory at UFC Seattle.

Daniel Cormier analyzed Israel Adesanya 's defeat in the main event of UFC Seattle , held last Saturday (28), and pointed to a decisive factor for the result. The Nigerian faced Joe Pyfer and, despite a good performance in the first round, ended up being knocked out in the second round. In the former champion's view, a specific mistake inside the octagon was decisive for the turnaround in the fight.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Cormier assessed that Adesanya started the fight well, but changed his approach incorrectly throughout the bout. According to him, the Nigerian chose to remain in the center of the octagon exchanging blows, precisely the scenario most favorable to Pyfer's style.

“Izzy fought well in the first and second rounds, but then, for some reason, decided to stay in the center of the ring and exchange blows. When, in fact, that was probably the best way for Pyfer to get the victory. Izzy will have some doubts when he reviews the fight,” said Daniel Cormier.

With the victory, Joe Pyfer has moved up a level in his career. Riding a four-fight winning streak, the 29-year-old American is expected to take fourth place in the rankings, a position currently held by Israel Adesanya.

On the other hand, the former champion extended his losing streak and suffered his fourth consecutive defeat in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
