Champion of everything! MMA legend Cris Cyborg makes history and wins a boxing title in Brazil.

MMA legend, Chris Cyborg She achieved a feat: making her career even more magnificent. If in mixed martial arts the Brazilian won the belt in the main companies, now she has gone further and become champion in boxing as well. Last Saturday (28), in Curitiba, the athlete beat Paulina Cardona by knockout in the second round and became the newest owner of the WIBA (Women's International Boxing Association) super-middleweight title, which was vacant.

Despite being 40 years old, an advanced age to compete, Cyborg proves herself timeless and remains dominant in combat sports. With an enviable physique, unparalleled skills, and exceptional power, the Brazilian shines wherever she goes and, now, has punished the Colombian. Fighting at home, the veteran made short work of Cardona, overwhelming her with jabs, crosses, and straight punches.

Paulina's situation was so bad that she didn't return to the fight after the second round. As expected, Cris overjoyed with her new achievement and made sure to thank the fans for their presence and support. Therefore, the Brazilian became the second fighter to be a champion in both boxing and MMA. The first to achieve this feat was... Holly holm.

Legendary Career

Chris CyborgThe 40-year-old Brazilian fighter has made her mark in MMA. She began her career in the sport in 2005 and continues to compete at the highest level. Her resume boasts titles from Strikeforce, Invicta, UFC, Bellator, and the PFL.The Curitiba native built a record consisting of 29 wins, two losses, and one 'no contest' (no result). Her main triumphs were against Zingano cat, Gina Carano, Holly holm, Larissa pacheco, Marloes Coenen (twice) and Yana Santos. 

In boxing, Cyborg debuted in 2022 and is undefeated. In total, the Brazilian has won eight fights, six of them by knockout.
