UFC Ranking: Israel Adesanya plummets in the top 15 middleweight rankings after his 4th consecutive loss; see the changes.

Experiencing the worst moment of his career, Israel Adesanya is in freefall in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). In the main event of UFC Seattle , held last Saturday (28), the former champion even had some good moments in the octagon, but he couldn't withstand Joe Pyfer 's power and ended up being knocked out in the second round. With his fourth consecutive defeat, the Nigerian lost important positions in the category in the weekly ranking update released by the organization this Tuesday (31).

While Adesanya dominated the middleweight division at his peak and established himself as the second-best fighter in the division's history, behind only Anderson Silva , today, at 36 years old, he is losing ground. So much so that 'The Last Stylebender' has dropped five places in the category's rankings, going from number four to ninth.

On the other hand, Pyfer, 29 years old and with four consecutive wins, is in the best phase of his career and has moved up a level in the middleweight division. The American gained eight positions in the ranking, becoming number seven.

Newcomer enters the top 15.

With Valter Walker injured , Tyrell Fortune struck gold. The American replaced the bad boy against Marcin Tybura , won his debut by unanimous decision, and has already taken the tenth position in the heavyweight ranking (up to 120,2 kg). Defeated, the Pole lost three places, becoming number 11.

As Fortune became the newest member of the category's top 15, three Brazilians were negatively affected. Tallison Teixeira dropped to 12th position, Walker to 15th, and Vitor Petrino fell out of the ranking.

With her impressive victory at UFC Seattle , Alexa Grasso , who knocked out and submitted Maycee Barber in the first round, climbed two positions in the pound-for-pound ranking, which lists the best fighters across all weight classes. The former flyweight champion (up to 57 kg) gained two positions, reaching seventh place.

In the flyweight division, Casey O'Neill, who knocked out Gabriella Fernandes in the first round, gained one position, becoming number 11. Conversely, the Brazilian saw her three-fight winning streak come to an end and dropped one spot, landing in 15th place.
