Alexandre Pantoja showed no discomfort with Joshua Van 's celebration after his victory at UFC 323. The Brazilian lost his flyweight title (up to 56,7 kg) after suffering a fall and dislocating his arm just 30 seconds into the fight against the prospect from Myanmar. Although some fans considered the celebration excessive, the veteran downplayed the situation and offered his perspective on the episode.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Pantoja stated that the achievement is part of any fighter's dream and highlighted that the title seemed destined for the new champion. The former champion also pointed out that, from now on, the public will have the opportunity to assess whether Joshua Van is in fact a true world champion or just someone who took advantage of an unexpected opportunity.

Without the rematch between Alexandre Panoja and Joshua Van , the UFC decided to move on and put the next in line in the title fight. Therefore, the representative from Myanmar will face Tatsuro Taira in the co-main event, while Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg will fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg) in the main event.
