Champion of the third season of The Ultimate Fighter and former BBB 2023 contestant, Antonio Shoe Guy The fighter lost a lawsuit against Grupo Globo this week. The news in question concerns an alleged involvement of Shoe Face The rumor involved Dr. Amanda Meirelles, who ended up winning the edition of Big Brother Brasil in which the fighter participated. Media outlets belonging to the Globo group reported the rumor, which generated a negative reaction among the public. The former PFL light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) even recorded a video on his social media denying the rumors, before filing a lawsuit in December 2023.
Amid the situation, Judge Fernanda Rosado de Souza concluded that the allegations made by the media outlets did not harm the fighter's honor, and that the virtual lynching he suffered was not related to anything published by Grupo Globo.
“The tone of the news, the fact that the author's response was published, and the finding that the offensive comments directed at him came from followers who were referring not to the news item being challenged here, but rather to the episode of his expulsion from the program, preclude the recognition of moral damages that require compensation,” the judge stated.
Cara de Sapato was expelled from BBB.
Indeed, Sapato and Amanda developed a strong friendship in Brazil's most watched house. However, another relationship of the fighter ended up sticking in the memory of those who followed the program that year. This is because the jiu-jitsu black belt was expelled from the program, accused of sexual harassment against Mexican Dania Mendez. In addition to him, MC Guimê was also forced to leave due to the same accusations.
