“I don’t think we should talk about this because I don’t think I have anything cool to say… She’s fucking irrelevant. She said this is the best women’s fight of all time… But how old is Gina? She hasn’t fought in 17 years. Like, shut up.” Kayla harrison.

Kayla Harrison denies Ronda Rousey's story about judo training.

The Olympic medalist also recalled a story Rousey told about her time in judo. According to Harrison, the story involves the so-called "Ippon Dori," a type of judo where athletes remain in combat while continuing to defeat opponents, without a time limit, in a format similar to "king of the hill."

“Ronda was talking about the old days, so in judo, we have something called 'Ippon Dori'. You stay in the middle, and they are live fights, so whoever wins continues. Let's say you and I are fighting, it's like 'king of the hill', the last one remaining. So, there's no time limit. We can have a 30-second fight because I throw you or a 30-minute fight,” explained the Olympic medalist.

Finally, Harrison directly challenged the veracity of the narrative shared by Rousey. According to the champion, the story in which the former wrestler supposedly remained for long periods facing different opponents, until being defeated by a heavier man, is nothing more than a fabrication, reinforcing her criticism of the version presented.

“So she’s online telling this story that, ‘Yeah, I was really proud, so I’d stand there for an hour with these girls and then, finally, a 90-pound guy felt sorry for me, came in and knocked me down.’ And I’m like, ‘Dude, that’s literally a fucking blatant lie. Now you’re just making shit up.’ That never happened,” Harrison concluded.
