Chris Duncan doesn't have fond memories when it comes to Renato Moicano . The Scotsman faces the Brazilian in the main event of UFC Vegas 115, scheduled for next Saturday (4). The confrontation brings back stories from the time they both trained together at American Top Team, the team they represent.
During the event's media day, Chris Duncan reminisced about training alongside Moicano and admitted that he had difficulties at the beginning, being dominated on several occasions. Despite this, he highlighted their mutual respect and stated that he learned a lot from the Brazilian, who even shared knowledge during the time they shared the gym.

“He’s beaten me up several times at the gym when I first started training there, so I learned a lot from him. He was kind enough to share some details. You know, he’s a good guy and we’re just going to fight on Saturday night,” said Chris Duncan.
Now, Duncan claims to be more evolved, citing his growth over the last five years and expressing confidence by stating that he wouldn't be in his current position if he didn't believe he was capable of beating his rival in the main event.
“I’ve achieved a lot in the last five years. I’ve evolved a lot as a fighter during that time, because I wouldn’t be sitting here today if I didn’t think I could beat Moicano,” the Scotsman concluded.
Moicano faces a rough patch in the UFC.
Although he's trending on YouTube, Renato Moicano isn't having a good run in the octagon. At 36 years old, the Brazilian has lost two fights in a row and, in his last one in June, he tired quickly against Beneil Dariush . Now, the veteran seeks redemption against an opponent who dreams of the biggest victory of his career.
