Still basking in the glory of his big win against Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 326, Charles do Bronx remains very attentive to the next steps to be taken. In an interview with Canal Encarada on YouTube last Tuesday (1), the Blud Lion spoke about possible next opponents.

Now, in addition to being one of the top fighters in the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg), the Brazilian is also the BFM champion, a title that can serve as leverage during negotiations for his next fights. In this context, he spoke about Nate Diaz , who offended him in a recent interview with Theo Von.
“I told Diego (Lima) that this is the time to think carefully about what will happen. Would a fight with Nate be good? Of course, definitely. He's been talking a lot, he's a guy who sells a lot, someone who would help us make money, it would be a great fight and a lot of people would like to see it. There's also Conor (McGregor). So, honestly, I'm very sure that the most important thing is to understand the game, understand what the UFC wants, to see if it's good for us too, because it has to be good for both sides,” he stated.

As usual, he also spoke about the possibility of facing Conor McGregor . Away from the octagon since July 2021, the Irishman's return has been speculated about again recently, especially for International Fight Week. Charles left the possibility open, although he wouldn't bet on McGregor's return.
“We’ve heard so many times that Conor is coming back and nothing happens. But one of the reasons I believe he might return this time is that Dana normally wouldn’t say anything, and this time he spoke. So, I believe he might come back to fight during Fight Week,” he concluded.

Charles' return to the world's most famous octagon doesn't yet have a date, however, it will likely be after UFC Casa Branca . Scheduled for June 14th, the event will mark the unification of the heavyweight titles between Justin Gaethje and Ilia Topuria . Because he is much more popular than Arman Tsarukyan , Charles may end up being prioritized in the selection of the next challenger.
