Guilherme Pat couldn't withstand Thomas Petersen 's intensity this Saturday (4), at UFC Vegas 115, held at the Meta Apex, in Las Vegas (USA). In a balanced duel, the American prevailed by forcing his grappling game in the decisive moments, especially in the third round, a determining factor to convince the judges.

In the first round, the Brazilian started better, connecting with two dangerous high kicks and controlling the distance with jabs and low kicks. Despite Petersen's pressure against the cage at times, Guilherme managed to defend well and kept the fight standing for most of the time, being more effective in the striking exchanges.

The second round followed a similar script, with Petersen looking for a grappling game and pressing against the cage, while Guilherme tried to respond in the center of the octagon with clean strikes. The Brazilian still landed some good attacks, including a powerful jab and low kicks, but was again blocked at crucial moments by his opponent.

In the third round, Petersen changed the course of the fight. More aggressive, he secured a takedown early on and began to dominate the Brazilian on the ground, landing punches and elbows from top position until the end of the fight. His control in the final round was decisive in securing the victory, while Guilherme Pat suffered the first defeat of his professional career.

This was his second fight for the organization. On the other side, Petersen updates his record to 12 wins and four losses. The American, who had lost in a duel against Vitor Petrino in October 2025, reached his sixth fight for the Ultimate.
