Women's MMA is on fire! Alice Pereira explains her daring challenge; Pedrita accepts the fight and responds in the UFC.

If UFC Vegas 115 had two fights involving Brazilian athletes, there is a great chance of another one happening in the octagon soon. This is because, last Saturday (4), Alice Pereira , after achieving her first victory in the organization via a devastating knockout against Hailey Cowan in the second round, chose Priscila Pedrita as her ideal target. Aware of the call, the veteran did not leave the MMA prospect unanswered.

In the post-fight interview, Alice sent a strong message to critics who questioned her fighting level after losing her MMA debut and undefeated record to Montserrat Rendon in September. Excited by the victory and determined to continue proving her quality and showing improvement, the athlete issued a rather vocal challenge to her compatriot. However, the 'Golden Girl' denied any rivalry with Pedrita and admitted that her words were over the top because she was very emotional after achieving the biggest victory of her career and needed to vent.

“I’m real! I love money and I love fighting. The UFC has to make Alice Pereira vs. Pedrita happen in China. Come on, Pedrita! Let’s put on a f***ing show for these sons of b****es!”, said the fighter while still in the octagon.

“I don’t know if you understood very well, because I was a little euphoric, but yes, I called Pedrita. I want to fight her in China. There will be two events in China and I really want to fight. I want to stay active. I’ve always been a very active athlete since my short but long journey in MMA. I don’t like to go too long without fighting,” the MMA prospect pointed out at the post-UFC Vegas 115 press conference.

“The feeling of being in the octagon, you go in with extra weight. And when you're in that enjoyable consistency of always being active, you feel at home, that everything is alright. So, I want to continue with that same vibe. If Pedrita accepts, I'm sure we'll have a great fight,” she concluded.

When challenged, Pedrita didn't want to hear Alice's explanation and seemed surprised by her attitude, as Alice is still a newcomer to MMA and, especially, to the UFC, with only two fights in the octagon. In any case, the veteran, who doesn't shy away from a good fight, readily accepted the invitation from the promising athlete for the fight to take place not only in China, but anywhere else.

It's true that the athlete is preparing to face Chelsea Chandler in June, and, with two consecutive losses, needs a win to stay in the UFC. If she manages to end her losing streak, Pedrita has already stated what her focus will be and promised to 'discipline' her compatriot for her audacious attitude.

“Damn, Alice. C**”, I’m just quietly eating my açaí, minding my own business. I saw your fight, what a knockout, congratulations! But you’re challenging me? Let’s make it happen! There’s going to be a fight! But the conversation with me will be different,” the veteran said on her official Instagram account.

“You know that, right? Train hard. That’s all I’m saying. Thank you very much for the challenge. That’s all I want now: to beat the crap out of you. Okay? Let’s make this happen, but after my next fight, okay?”, he concluded.
