Dricus Du Plessis has no doubt that Conor McGregor was the biggest name in MMA history during the peak of his career. Although fans and experts often divide names like Jon Jones , Anderson Silva , and Georges St-Pierre in the debate for 'GOAT' status, the South African believes that 'The Notorious' is on a higher level due to the impact he had on the sport.
In an interview with 'Fight Forecast', Du Plessis highlighted that he has admired McGregor since adolescence and attributes to the Irishman a fundamental role in the transformation of modern MMA, stating that his influence was decisive for the growth of the sport globally, to the point of placing him as a figure who even surpassed the very dimension of the sport.
