Jiri Prochazka and Josh Hokit may have started an unexpected rivalry backstage at UFC 327, scheduled for next Saturday (11). The Czech and the American met backstage at the event's media day and, after a tense moment, had to be restrained by security.

In a video published by Gifdsports, Josh Hokit is seen being escorted away while shouting insults at Prochazka. In an attempt to provoke his rival, the American even mentioned Alex Poatan 's name . Jiri, for his part, remained calmer, asking Hokit to keep his distance before returning to his seat.

"Dude, stay where you are," said Jiri Prochazka.
"I'm going to cut you into pieces, man. And I'm going to sew your head onto Alex Pereira's body," Hokit replied.

Jiri Prochazka faces Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC 327, in a fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg). This is because the then champion, Alex Poatan , decided to relinquish the title to move up a weight class and attempt an unprecedented triple championship in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Brazilian fighter is scheduled to face Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Casa Branca , scheduled for June 14th.

Josh Hokit had a golden opportunity fall into his lap. The outspoken fighter, despite not yet being ranked in the official heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg), is scheduled to face Curtis Blaydes, currently in the top 5 of the division.
Although not considered an immediate contender for the belt, Blaydes is one of the most established names in the division. In his last appearances, the American defeated Jailton Malhadinho , was beaten by Tom Aspinall in the interim title fight, and then returned to winning ways against Rizvan Kuniev . He currently holds the fourth position in the heavyweight rankings.
