When the Brazilian knocked out the Russian and regained the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg), the Czech fighter, who was watching the event from the front row, couldn't contain his reaction and went viral as he burst into tears. Now, he has explained what triggered his emotion.
In an interview with Nina Drama, Prochazka stated that he felt proud of Poatan's performance, highlighting the Brazilian's aggressive and determined posture in the octagon. Furthermore, the former champion revealed that comments made by Ankalaev earlier also influenced his reaction, which increased his satisfaction with the outcome of the fight.

“I was a little proud of Alex’s performance because I saw a really hungry Alex… also because Ankalaev said some nonsense about me, so I was, I was happy that he won,” said Jiri Prochazka.

Jiri Prochazka faces Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC 327, in a fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg). This is because the then champion, Alex Poatan , decided to relinquish the title to move up a weight class and attempt an unprecedented triple championship in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Brazilian fighter is scheduled to face Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Casa Branca , scheduled for June 14th.
