The always exciting Paulo Borrachinha surprised at UFC 327 and, as a consequence, his morale is high. At the event held last Saturday (11), in Miami (USA), the Brazilian, who switched from middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) to light heavyweight (up to 93 kg), simply ended the invincibility of the feared Azamat Murzakanov , knocking him out in the third round. The performance was so convincing that even Dana White surrendered to the athlete.
In the post-UFC 327 press conference, the company president was full of praise for Borrachinha and showed enthusiasm for his future, suggesting that a possible title fight could happen next. Dana's stance is noteworthy because, in the past, he highlighted the difficulty of negotiating with the Brazilian and seeing him in action.

In fact, the fighter from Minas Gerais has a history of pulling out of fights and usually competes only a few times during the season. However, since Borrachinha has won over fans and even Donald Trump, the president of the United States, Dana White hopes that this adventure in the light heavyweight division will represent a positive change in his career. Furthermore, the athlete has already declared his interest in facing Carlos Ulberg , the new champion.
“What an impressive victory for him. The guy had 16 wins, no losses, and was very confident he would win. It's fun. The thing with a guy like Borrachinha is that he goes in and tries to knock everyone out, and this was a huge victory for him,” said the UFC president.
“This could be the biggest win of his career. To beat an undefeated guy who was 16-0 and absolutely confident he could deliver a beating. He was good, won impressively, and this puts him in a position to participate in many more exciting fights,” he concluded.

Paulo Borrachinha , 34, is one of the most popular Brazilian fighters in the UFC. He began his MMA career in 2012, debuted for the organization in 2017, and even competed for the middleweight title in 2020. Currently, the Minas Gerais native is ranked 14th in the division.
In sports, the 'bad boy' built a record of 16 wins and four losses. His main victories were over Azamat Murzakanov , Johny Hendricks , Luke Rockhold , and Yoel Romero.
