Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo have opinions that are, at the very least, interesting for the future of Carlos Ulberg and the Ultimate's light heavyweight division (up to 93kg). The New Zealander won the belt by knocking out Jiri Prochazka in the first round of UFC 327, this past Saturday (11), in Miami (USA). A scenario that, according to the former champions, opens doors for Paulo Borrachinha , Magomed Ankalaev and even Khamzat Chimaev to fight for the top of the category.
During a chat on the 'Pound 4 Pound' podcast, alongside Cejudo, Usman pointed to Ankalaev as the main contender for the title. According to the former welterweight champion (up to 77 kg), there is no other name besides the Russian ready for a fight against Ulberg.

“Ankalaev (as the next challenger for the belt). We have nothing else. I think that’s what comes next,” said Kamaru Usman.
On the other side of the conversation, Cejudo agreed with the scenario and even raised alternative possibilities for the division's future. The former flyweight (up to 56,7 kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) champion highlighted that the outcome of the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) title fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland at UFC 328 on May 9th could influence the landscape and open unexpected paths, including those involving names like Paulo Borrachinha.
"I mean, there's potential, depending on what happens with Khamzat Chimaev in the fight against Sean Strickland . If Chimaev wins, it could open a path for someone like him. Imagine that against the next name we're going to mention, Paulo (Borrachinha)," Henry Cejudo added.
