Paulo Borrachinha demands performance bonus and challenges loudmouth after UFC 327

Paulo Borrachinha debuted in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) literally with his right foot forward, but believes he had the 'cherry on top' stolen. The fighter from Minas Gerais entered the co-main event of UFC 327, held last Saturday (11), and knocked out Azamat Murzakanov with a beautiful high kick. However, the Brazilian did not receive the $100 (approximately R$500) performance bonus and decided to demand payment from the person responsible.

In a social media post, Borrachinha criticized Josh Hokit , insinuating that his rival had "cheated" with the bonus he considers deserved. The Brazilian adopted an aggressive tone, promising to settle the situation inside the octagon in a possible future fight.

Before stepping into the octagon at UFC 327, Josh Hokit wasn't even ranked in the heavyweight division and had only two fights in the organization. After his victory over Curtis Blaydes , who was ranked fourth, the outspoken fighter should make a significant leap in the division, with a clear path to the top 5.

The event was also positive from a financial standpoint. Hokit earned around $200 (approximately R$1 million), combining the Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night bonuses, solidifying not only his sporting growth but also his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Beyond the sporting success and financial gain, the heavyweight left UFC 327 with a great opportunity for exposure. Immediately after his victory, he was announced to face Derrick Lewis at the highly anticipated UFC White House , an event scheduled for June 14th and considered one of the biggest spectacles in the organization's history.
