On a collision course to face Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg), the Brazilian could end up occupying rankings in two weight classes, like another representative from Brazil. After becoming the first to defeat Azamat Murzakanov with a beautiful knockout in the third round, Paulo Borrachinha became the seventh-ranked fighter among light heavyweights (up to 93 kg), in addition to the 15th position among middleweights (up to 83,9 kg).

His victory against Curtis Blaydes not only earned him the Performance and Fight of the Night awards, but also catapulted the American into the top five of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). Before last Saturday, the Incredible Hook was out of the running and had only two wins in the organization. Now, he will be another fighter to participate in UFC at the White House, against Derrick Lewis.
