Paulo Borrachinha made it clear that he has a score to settle with Josh Hokit after UFC 327. The Brazilian shone in the co-main event by knocking out Azamat Murzakanov with a high kick, but saw the performance bonus go to the American, who defeated Curtis Blaydes on the same card. The decision did not please the fighter from Minas Gerais, who stated that he is willing to resolve the situation.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Borrachinha acknowledged the high level of Hokit's fight, classifying it as one of the best in heavyweight history (up to 120,2 kg). Even so, the Brazilian complained about his rival winning two bonuses that night and stated that his own performance was superior, indicating that he feels he was unfairly treated in the prize money distribution.

“He had a great fight, I’m not going to lie. I think it was one of the best heavyweight fights I’ve ever seen in my life… but he won two bonuses. He won my performance bonus,” said Paulo Borrachinha.
Borrachinha also raised his voice, stating that he believes he is entitled to $100 and intends to collect that amount somehow. According to him, the situation has created a direct problem between the two, turning the rivalry into something personal within the UFC.
“I came out on top of him… He owes me $100, and I’m going to get that $100 one way or another. I’m going to make him pay me that $100. We have a beef now, we have a problem. A big problem… 100 problems,” concluded the man from Minas Gerais.

Before stepping into the octagon at UFC 327, Josh Hokit wasn't even ranked in the heavyweight division and had only two fights in the organization. After his victory over Curtis Blaydes , who was ranked fourth, the outspoken fighter should make a significant leap in the division, with a clear path to the top 5.
The event was also positive from a financial standpoint. Hokit earned around $200 (approximately R$1 million), combining the Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night bonuses, solidifying not only his sporting growth but also his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Beyond the sporting success and financial gain, the heavyweight left UFC 327 with a great opportunity for exposure. Immediately after his victory, he was announced to face Derrick Lewis at the highly anticipated UFC White House , an event scheduled for June 14th and considered one of the biggest spectacles in the organization's history.
