In a video published by the official UFC Brazil account on Instagram last Wednesday (15), the Brazilian analyzed the fight between Carlos Ulberg and Jiri Prochazka , won by the New Zealander in epic fashion with a knockout in the first round.

Analyzing the match, the Brazilian went straight to the point and addressed the serious injury suffered by Ulberg early in the duel. The New Zealander injured his right knee and lost stability, in addition to having his movement immediately affected.

“Everyone saw what happened there, Ulberg got hurt. We don't know if it was from the kicks or if he was already injured, but it doesn't matter. Those are the risks of being in there. The responsibility lies entirely with the athlete, and that's part of the game. During the fight, I thought Jiri was a little different. That samurai, warrior thing, it hindered him a bit, you know?” he stated.

Imagining himself in the situation his former opponent experienced, the Brazilian emphasized that even in an unpleasant scenario, it's necessary to maintain a professional attitude and seek to finish the fight. He believes the defeat will be a turning point in the Czech fighter's career.

“I’ll speak for myself. If it were me there, it would be a fight. Both are well-trained, one wants to hurt the other, and unfortunately, Jiri had some attitudes that came at a very high price. I think he learned a lot from that,” he concluded.
