Michael Bisping believes Sean Strickland has a good chance of surprising Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328 , scheduled for March 9th. The American faces the Chechen in the main event, in a duel for the middleweight title. Despite being considered the underdog, the former champion and current commentator trusts in the outspoken fighter's mental game to even the score.
During an appearance on the 'Jaxxon Podcast', Bisping highlighted that Strickland often exceeds expectations, even without elite physical attributes. According to the Briton, the fighter stands out for his unwavering mentality, above-average stamina, and intense work ethic, factors that, in his view, can make all the difference in the duel.

“I think he exceeds expectations in many ways. He’s not the tallest athlete, he’s not the fastest, the strongest… but he has an unwavering mind. He has an insane energy tank, he works himself to the bone… and that’s a compliment. It’s not an insult.”, Michael Bisping.

In a video published on the UFC's official YouTube channel, Dan White was candid and admitted to being worried about what the fighters might do before, during, and after the highly anticipated fight. Dana's pessimistic view is understandable, given that the rivalry between Chimaev and Strickland is one of the biggest and most hostile in MMA today.
“Fun event and, obviously, the main fight is the fight everyone has been waiting for a long time. Strickland was incredible in his last performance. How much security do you think we'll need? (laughs),” said the UFC president.
