Dana White made a point of highlighting Gilbert Durinho 's career after the Brazilian's retirement at UFC Winnipeg, last Saturday (18), in Canada. The former welterweight title challenger (up to 77 kg) ended his career after being knocked out by Mike Malott in the third round.

After the event, during the press conference, Dana White was asked about the Brazilian's legacy and he didn't hold back on the praise, highlighting both Durinho's sporting performance and his character outside of fights.

"He's an incredible guy, a great human being. He's accomplished important things and, yes, he's had a great run here," Dana White said about Burns' career in the UFC.

Durinho envisions his future outside of MMA after retiring from the UFC.
Gilbert Burns officially retired from professional MMA at UFC Winnipeg, but he has already begun planning his next steps. In an interview with the 'UFC on Paramount' team, the Brazilian indicated that one of his desires is to work as a fighter manager, in addition to getting involved in social initiatives focused on Jiu-Jitsu.
"I want to become an MMA manager; I believe I can do a great job. I know how to build a career. I also want to help young people through Jiu-Jitsu."
"I never thought about opening a gym, but I see friends changing the lives of children, and that's what I want to do too. I should be starting this project in South Florida soon. Now it's time to take care of my family, my children, and my wife," said Durinho.
