Without a doubt, Ryan Spann was one of the highlights of UFC Vegas 116. At the event held this Saturday (25), the American shone in the octagon, delivering a brutal knockout to Marcus Buchecha in the second round. Impressive in action, 'Superman', as could not be otherwise, won the 'Performance of the Night' bonus.
The organization announced the awards immediately after the show. Therefore, Spann took home a check for $100 (approximately R$498 at the current exchange rate).

In the heavyweight bout (up to 120,2 kg), the American avoided Buchecha's takedown attempts and, when he did go to the ground, he wasn't intimidated by Buchecha's jiu-jitsu skills. A striking specialist, Spann, a former light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) fighter, landed powerful punches on the Brazilian and, when the opportunity arose, knocked him out with a straight right, securing his second consecutive victory.
Like Spann, Jackson McVey was also awarded the 'Performance of the Night' bonus by the UFC. In the preliminary card, in a middleweight bout (up to 83,9 kg), the athlete did what he wanted with Sedriques Dumas and easily finished him in the first round, securing his first victory in the company.
Fight of the night
The battle between veteran Davey Grant and MMA prospect Adrián Luna Martinetti was the 'Fight of the Night'. In the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), 40-year-old Davey Grant welcomed the newcomer and showed that competing in the sport's biggest organization is different.
The Englishman used his experience, stamina, and technique to overcome the Ecuadorian, who had last lost to him in 2017. As a result, each athlete walked away with $100 (approximately R$498 at the current exchange rate).
