Talita Alencar sent a direct message to the Ultimate after defeating Julia Polastri at UFC Vegas 116 , held last Saturday (25), and made it clear that she believes she is ready to face a ranked opponent in the strawweight division (up to 52,1 kg). After winning by unanimous decision, the Brazilian stated that she has already proven her worth within the organization, demanding a greater opportunity in the category.
In an interview with UFC Brazil shortly after her victory, Talita highlighted that her recent trajectory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship already shows that she has the skill to compete with top-ranked fighters. The fighter even cited comparisons with opponents she shares with Loopy Godinez , arguing that she has had superior performances and, therefore, believes it's time to raise the level of the challenges.

The fighter from Maranhão also made it clear that she is not focused on a specific name, but rather on any opportunity that brings her closer to the elite of the division. According to her, her team is already working towards bigger fights, but without choosing an opponent, as long as the next step is against someone ranked. With her third consecutive fight without a loss in the UFC, Talita is strengthening her candidacy to face a top 15 athlete soon.
"I've proven enough to the UFC that I can fight ranked opponents. Mainly because all the girls I've fought, Loopy Godinez has also fought, and I've had exceptionally better results."
