Carlos Prates entered the octagon at UFC Perth , held this Saturday (2), determined to prove that he deserves a chance at the welterweight belt (up to 77 kg). To leave no doubt, the Brazilian delivered a real beating to Jack Della Maddalena before ending the fight in the third round.
To secure the victory, Carlos Prates started focused on destroying Jack Della Maddalena 's base throughout the fight, and in the third round a low kick knocked down the Australian, who was visibly weakened and unable to stay on his feet.
Down and struggling to react, Maddalena was exposed on the ground. Prates didn't waste the opportunity and went for the ground and pound, connecting with elbows until the referee stopped the fight, securing a resounding technical knockout.
