This Saturday (9), in New Jersey (USA), Khamzat Chimaev has an extremely important commitment in his career. In the main fight of UFC 328 , the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) will face his rival Sean Strickland , seen by many as one of the few professionals capable of giving him a fight, just as Gilbert Durinho managed to. And, speaking of the Brazilian, 'Borz' showed off.

Furthermore, 'Borz' boasted and made a point of mentioning that he predicted that the Brazilian, after giving his all in the octagon and almost having his undefeated streak ended, had reached his limit and would struggle to remain in the spotlight. On that occasion, Durinho lost to the Russian by unanimous decision, but almost knocked him out. The athlete was the first fighter who was not submitted or knocked out by Chimaev and is considered by many to be his toughest opponent.

"I warned him before the fight that he would never be the same fighter again, and he never was. Good for him," said the UFC champion.

Khamzat Chimaev , 31, is one of the best and most fearsome MMA fighters today. The Russian began his career in the sport in 2018, debuted in the UFC in 2020, and became middleweight champion in 2025. Before that, 'Borz' also excelled in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).

In this modality, the athlete competed in 15 fights and won them all, 12 by stoppage (six by knockout and six by submission). His main victories were over Dricus du Plessis , Gilbert Burns , Kamaru Usman , and Robert Whittaker.
