In the countdown to the highly anticipated UFC event at the White House, those involved in the event have been appearing more and more on the show's stage. This Wednesday (6), Ilia Topuria shocked the web by posting a photo on her official Instagram account with none other than Alex Poatan on a plane. Two of the company's most high-profile names, the two athletes will be performing in the final fights of the night against Justin Gaethje and Ciryl Gane , respectively.

In the post, a collaboration with the Brazilian fighter, Topuria revealed that the two were on a plane to meet with Donald Trump, the President of the United States and a longtime ally of Dana White. Increasingly present at Ultimate events, the main political representative of the United States has had several encounters with MMA fighters over the years. More recently, he caught the attention of the Brazilian public by interacting with Paulo Borrachinha.
"On our way to meet with the president," El Matador said in the post.

Trump is a longtime ally of Dana White. While the sport was reviled and viewed negatively by much of American society, some important Ultimate events were held at the Trump Taj Mahal in the early 2000s, shortly after the Fertitta brothers acquired the company from the former SEG. The president has attended other UFC events in the past, and has also become close to athletes like Colby Covington , for example.
