Justin Gaethje has a rather unusual habit in his preparation for UFC fights. Scheduled to face Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC Casa Branca , set for June 14th, the American approaches each fight as an extreme situation, to the point of treating it as a possible last moment of his life and, because of this, he spares no effort to enjoy the small pleasures before stepping into the octagon.

During a live stream on the 'Kick' platform with streamer 'N3on', Gaethje explained that, in the past, he used to masturbate before entering the octagon as part of this ritual. The practice was accompanied by a shower and was linked to the intense way he faced the life-threatening risk the fight could bring.

“I used to do this (masturbate before fights). I used to take a shower before going out to the arena. Because I was planning on dying. If I'm going to die tonight, it doesn't matter if I enjoy it one more time,” revealed Justin Gaethje.

Ilia Topuria updates her record and adds a victory over Gaethje, even before the fight.

While Justin Gaethje sees his fights as a possible death, Ilia Topuria, on the other hand, doesn't even imagine he could lose. The Spaniard's confidence for UFC Casa Branca is so high that the champion couldn't wait for the result to update his record.

When announcing the fight on social media, Topuria shared an image of a poster with his face next to Justin Gaethje 's . In the caption of the post, despite currently having 17 wins and no losses in his career, 'El Matador' wrote '18-0', accompanied by a red rose emoji, a symbol that has become a hallmark of his celebrations inside the octagon.
