Controversial Sean Strickland denies changing his behavior and sends a message to sponsors: 'F*** you'

One of the most controversial names in all of MMA, Sean Strickland has thousands of fans and haters around the world thanks to the American's politically incorrect statements. On a collision course with Khamzat Chimaev in the main fight of UFC 328 this Saturday (9), the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) could return to the spotlight as the main name in the category if he becomes the first to beat the Chechen, and for those who expect a change in behavior from the fighter, he made it clear during the event's media day last Wednesday (6) that he is not at all worried, even if it affects his financial life.

According to the fighter, even though he is aware of the amount of financial opportunities lost with potential sponsors, abandoning his outspoken style is not on his mind.

“Fuck these big companies. You don’t want to sponsor me? Go fuck yourselves. You’re really the problem. An extra million dollars? I don’t give a damn. Keep the money, you fucking corporate bastards,” the fighter stated.

Strickland offended Chimaev in several ways.

Given the intense rivalry between Chimaev and Strickland, Strickland has made several disrespectful statements regarding the current middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg). In addition to insulting Borz's religion and ethnicity, the athlete even stated that he would shoot his opponent if he felt threatened in a potential street fight. Aware of the danger of placing the two fighters close together before the fight, the UFC canceled the traditional face-off inside the Paramount+ studio to avoid a confrontation.
