Just like the fans, Dana White has also jumped on the hype bandwagon and is visibly excited about the highly anticipated Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland fight . The clash between the rivals is the main event of UFC 328 , which takes place this Saturday (9), in New Jersey (USA), and is for the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg). And, aware of the growing animosity between the bad boys, the executive made a bold statement.
Present at the press conference to promote UFC 328 , the company president highlighted the rivalry between the Chechen champion and the former title holder, stating that it now ranks among the top three of all time. Indeed, the level of animosity is so extreme that the pair resorted to heavy trash talk, crossing all boundaries. It's worth noting that Chimaev and Strickland have not yet faced each other, so caution is advised, as regrettable incidents could occur during the event and after the fight.

Shocking exclusion
While appearing on 'The Jim Rome Show', Dana White, not content with that, placed the Chimaev vs. Strickland rivalry above even one involving two of the best fighters in MMA history: Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier . For many, these legendary professionals provided such tense moments that they rank this animosity as the second greatest in UFC history, or even number one.
It's unclear whether the company president forgot about the duo or simply didn't want to give 'Bones' the spotlight, given his ongoing public feud. In any case, the executive surprised everyone by revealing what he considers the third most intense rivalry in UFC history.
“It’s one of the three greatest rivalries of all time. And the reason I put it second and McGregor vs. Khabib first is because of what happened. It could be Rashad and Rampage (in third place). There are a few others that could be on the list. But first and second place are McGregor vs. Khabib and this one here,” the executive listed.
