Baisangur Susurkaev showed that he is much more than just a training partner de Khamzat Shimaev. The Russian faced Djorden Santos on the preliminary card of UFC 328, held this Saturday (9), and, after a real war that thrilled the public, he found a rear-naked choke that knocked out the Brazilian.
With the victory, Susurkaev maintained his undefeated career record and secured his 12th win, his third in the UFC octagon. Djorden, on the other hand, suffered his third defeat and has only one win in three fights in the organization.

Susurkaev started the fight controlling the distance, working low kicks while keeping his guard down and taunting the Brazilian. Djorden responded with a strong leg kick that threw the Russian off balance, but Baisangur then countered with a powerful cross.
After an intense exchange of blows, Djorden anticipated a front kick from his opponent and connected with a cross that rocked the Russian. In the final stretch of the round, Susurkaev attempted a spinning kick, which missed and became a source of taunting from the Brazilian.

The second round began with Baisangur pressing forward, taking advantage of Djorden's attacks to connect with counter-punches. The fighters turned the duel into a frank boxing match, with both landing strong blows at close range.
In the final minute, Djorden managed to dominate his rival in the clinch, but after boos from the crowd and taunts from the Russian, the fight returned to striking. At that moment, Susurkaev landed an elbow strike that opened a cut on the Brazilian's forehead.
At the start of the third round, Susurkaev came back even more aggressively. In the opening seconds, he feinted a straight punch and connected with a spinning elbow on the Brazilian. Djorden responded with strikes at close range, but the Russian sought to clinch and took his opponent's back.
After the separation, Susurkaev began to advance, taking advantage of his opponent's attacks to counter-attack, while continuing to taunt him. The fight returned to the clinch, with Djorden attempting a guillotine choke.
In the final minute, Baisangur secured the takedown, took the opponent's back, and applied a rear-naked choke that knocked the Brazilian unconscious, guaranteeing an impressive victory.
He slipped up a few times (I think he even lost a round), but he's still one of those names to keep an eye on!
