Joshua Van had a special night and was one of the highlights of UFC 328. At the event held this Saturday (9), in New Jersey (USA), the Burmese, flyweight champion (up to 57 kg) just over Alexandre Pantoja in December, starred in a war with Tatsuro Taira in the co-main event and stood out by knocking him out in the fifth round. As they impressed in the octagon, the pair won the 'Fight of the Night' bonus.
The organization announced the prizes shortly after the show. Therefore, Van and Taira took home a check for $100 (approximately R$492 at the current exchange rate). As expected from a flyweight bout, the athletes displayed impressive physical conditioning, technique, and speed. In the first round, the Japanese fighter controlled his opponent, but from the second round onwards, the tide turned. In that round, the Burmese fighter scored a knockdown and almost knocked his opponent out.

A striking specialist and physically fitter, Van continued to take advantage, but Taira didn't give up and, even in a delicate situation, managed to land takedowns. But the hard-fought battle came to an end in the final round. In it, the Burmese fighter showed his power and sealed the fight, defending his flyweight title for the first time.
Performance of the Night
Jim Miller and Yaroslav Amosov were awarded 'Performance of the Night' bonuses by the UFC. And indeed, the duo shone on the preliminary card of the event.

In the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg), Amosov made short work of the dangerous Joel Álvarez, finishing him with great technique in the second round. Thus, the former Bellator king remains undefeated in the UFC, with two impressive victories.

Miller, 42, continues to make history in the UFC. The MMA veteran had no trouble against Jared Gordon , finishing him in the first round in a lightweight bout (up to 70,3 kg). Now, the legendary American, who already holds the record for most fights and wins in the organization, has increased his numbers (46 and 27).
Other bonuses
Because they won by stoppage, Ateba Gautier , Baisangur Susurkaev, Bobby Green , and Grant Dawson each earned a $25 bonus (approximately R$123 at the current exchange rate). Gautier knocked out Osman Diaz in the second round, Susurkaev submitted Djorden Santos in the third round, Green submitted Jeremy Stephens in the first round, and Dawson submitted Mateusz Rebecki in the third round.
