Chimaev's team rules out a change in the UFC and requests a rematch against Sean Strickland: 'He's obsessed'

Even with suggestions of moving up a weight class, the Chechen fighter's staff assures that his total focus is on an immediate rematch for the middleweight belt.

Khamzat Chimaev has not yet accepted his defeat to Sean Strickland at UFC 328 , held last Saturday (9). The protagonist of the main fight, the Wolf ended up being defeated by the judges' decision and lost the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg). Now, the former champion shows interest in getting revenge as soon as possible and is aiming for an immediate rematch.

In a statement sent to ESPN, Chimaev's team reiterated that the Chechen is fully focused on a rematch against Strickland, treating the rematch as an absolute priority and making it clear that, at this time, there is no interest in facing another opponent.
