Chimaev's team rules out a change in the UFC and requests a rematch against Sean Strickland: 'He's obsessed'

Khamzat Chimaev has not yet accepted his defeat to Sean Strickland at UFC 328 , held last Saturday (9). The protagonist of the main fight, the Wolf ended up being defeated by the judges' decision and lost the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg). Now, the former champion shows interest in getting revenge as soon as possible and is aiming for an immediate rematch.

In a statement sent to ESPN, Chimaev's team reiterated that the Chechen is fully focused on a rematch against Strickland, treating the rematch as an absolute priority and making it clear that, at this time, there is no interest in facing another opponent.

Despite still being bothered by the defeat, Khamzat Chimaev may not have an immediate opportunity to seek revenge against Sean Strickland . After UFC 328 , Dana White indicated during the press conference that the harsh weight cut may have hampered the Chechen's performance and raised the possibility of a move up to the light heavyweight division.
