By all indications, the victorious past of Ronda Rousey and Francis Ngannou has weighed heavily in the betting odds for MVP's first MMA event in partnership with Netflix. Headlining the card, the pair face Gina Carano and Philipe Lins , respectively, and, coincidentally or not, the former UFC champions appear as overwhelming favorites.

Ronda Rousey (1,14) x Gina Carano (5,00)

According to Stake , Ronda is the overwhelming favorite. A victory for the judoka pays 1,14 for every real bet. That is, a R$100 bet would yield R$114 in case of a win. On the other hand, someone investing the same amount on Gina Carano could win R$500 if the actress wins.

Away from MMA since 2016, when she experienced her worst moment with losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes , Ronda returns to the sport that established her as one of the biggest names in combat sports. The American has 12 career wins, all by stoppage, six of them in title fights.

While Ronda hasn't fought in almost a decade, Carano's hiatus is even longer. With seven wins and only one loss in her career, the veteran hasn't competed since 2009, when she was defeated by Cris Cyborg.

With the biggest disparity in odds at the event, Francis Ngannou appears as the overwhelming favorite against Philipe Lins . A R$100 bet on the Cameroonian would yield only R$106, while the same amount on the Brazilian could generate R$740 in case of victory.

After defending his UFC title against Ciryl Gane and leaving the organization on a high note, Ngannou had a frustrating stint in boxing before returning to MMA with a knockout victory over Renan 'Problema'. Now, the Cameroonian seeks to extend his record to 18 wins and three losses.

While Ngannou left the UFC on a high note, the same cannot be said of Philipe Lins . The Brazilian debuted with two losses in the organization, but bounced back with four consecutive wins before being released in 2024. Now, the underdog is trying to surprise and prove he belongs among the sport's elite.

Nate Diaz (2,49) vs. Mike Perry (1,48)

In a duel between two veteran 'bad boys', Nate Diaz appears as the underdog against Mike Perry . The American has odds of 2,49, while his rival is quoted at 1,48.

In practice, a R$100 bet on Diaz would yield R$249 if he wins. The same amount invested in Perry would return R$148.

Junior Cigano (3,55) x Robelis Despaigne (1,25)

While the status of former UFC champion favors Ronda Rousey and Francis Ngannou , the same does not apply to Junior Cigano . The Brazilian appears as the underdog, with odds of 3,55, while Robelis Despaigne is the overwhelming favorite, with odds of 1,25.

Thus, a R$100 bet on Cigano could yield R$355 if he wins. The same amount bet on Cubano would generate R$125.
