Despite entering the UFC Vegas 117 octagon in the early hours of this Sunday (17) as the owner of one of the great winning streaks in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), Melk Costa suffered a tough defeat to Arnold Allen in the main fight. Throughout five rounds, he found himself dominated by his opponent's game, with all the judges scoring the victory for his adversary.

Intense from the start of the fight, the Englishman took away most of the Brazilian's space and kept his opponent cornered against the cage for most of the bout. Besides landing powerful punches to the head, Allen also knew how to find the right moments to close the distance and take the fight to the ground, curbing the prospect's aggressive impulses.
