Ronda Rousey defeated Gina Carano by submission this Saturday (16) , in the main event of the Netflix MMA event, held in California (USA). In a duel valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), the former UFC champion needed only 15 seconds to take down her opponent and obtain the victory with an armbar in the first round.

As soon as the fight began, Gina Carano advanced, attempting to land punches in the striking exchanges. However, Ronda showcased all her grappling experience, closing the distance and taking her opponent to the ground in the opening moments of the fight.

With dominance on the ground, Rousey landed on top of her opponent and quickly locked in position to attempt the submission. Giving Carano no chance to react, the American tightened the armbar and forced her rival to tap out.
The referee stopped the fight at 4:43 of the first round, declaring Ronda Rousey the winner by submission. With this result, the former champion now has 13 wins and two losses in her professional MMA record. On the other side, Gina Carano now has seven wins and two losses in her career.
