Alex Poatan took advantage of Melk Costa 's defeat to mock and promote his sponsor during UFC Vegas 117 , held this Saturday (16). The Dalmatian, who recently engaged in a war of words with Pataxó on social media, faced Arnold Allen in the main event and ended up being dominated over five rounds, which opened up space to become a target for the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg).

In his Instagram stories, Poatan posted an image of Melk at a disadvantage in the fight, superimposed on an advertisement for the game Aviator displayed in the octagon, a brand that, coincidentally, sponsors Pataxó.
In the caption, Poatan made light of the situation and even 'disguised' the provocation with a thank you to his sponsor.
"Just dropping by to thank my sponsor. Flying high with Aviator," Poatan wrote.

Alex Poatan is involved in a feud with Melk Costa on social media.
Although they don't compete in the same weight class, Alex Poatan and Melk Costa exchanged barbs backstage at the UFC. The feud began when the Dalmatian, in an interview with Connect Cast, pointed to Jon Jones as the favorite in a potential fight against the Pataxó.
In response, Poatan amplified the controversy and stated that Melk's interpretation was influenced by a past episode, when the former champion allegedly refused to take a picture with the Paraense backstage at an event.
