Daniel Willycat didn't have his arm raised, but he still had reason to celebrate at UFC Vegas 117. The Brazilian faced Dooho Choi in the co-main event and started well, landing strong strikes in the first round. However, physical exhaustion took its toll in the second round, when he was surprised by a body shot that ended the fight.

Despite the defeat, Chute Boxe representative Diego Lima split the "Fight of the Night" bonus with his opponent. Each received US$100 (approximately R$500 at the current exchange rate).

Willycat lost because of STUPIDITY!
He was very aggressive in the first round, throwing a lot of unnecessary punches into the air.
He took 3 kicks to the calf which already impaired his movement, he tired and lost his distance.

With the defeat, the Brazilian suffered his second loss in the UFC and saw his streak of three consecutive victories come to an end. The South Korean, on the other hand, achieved his sixth victory in the organization and extended his winning streak to four.

Romanian Alice Ardelean was one of the names rewarded for defeating Polyana Viana . After hurting the Brazilian in the striking exchanges and taking the fight to the ground, she took advantage of a moment of carelessness from Alex Poatan 's former training partner to lock in a rare heel hook and secure the submission.

Another highlight was Juan Diaz, who even managed to take down Malcolm Wellmaker in the first round. The outcome, however, only came in the second round, when he secured the victory by submission with a rear-naked choke.
