Conor McGregor is back and, even before stepping into the octagon, he's already shown that his tongue is still sharp. During the UFC Vegas 117 broadcast , Dana White announced the Irishman's return in a rematch against Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 329 , scheduled for July 11th during International Fight Week. Before facing the Hawaiian in the cage, 'The Notorious' made it clear what he intends to do to his rival.

It all started when Holloway, without directly provoking him, posted a promotional video of the fight on his social media. McGregor reacted quickly to the post and adopted an aggressive tone, stating that he intends to 'take good care of his rival' as he did in their first encounter. Following this, the former champion demanded respect for his name with a photo of himself punching the Hawaiian.

The last time McGregor stepped into the octagon was in July 2021, when he faced Dustin Poirier in the final fight of their trilogy. On that occasion, the Irishman was defeated. It's worth remembering that his last victory was in January 2020, when he beat Donald Cerrone.

Max Holloway , for his part, is looking to bounce back from his most recent UFC performance. The Hawaiian was dominated by Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 and, in addition to the loss, lost the BMF belt.
