After months of speculation, Gable Stevenson's Ultimate debut was finally announced. During the broadcast of ufc vegas 117Dana White surprised fans by confirm the return de Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 329 and, as a bonus, reveal that the Olympic medalist, trained by Jon Jones, will fight in the opening bout of the main card, scheduled for July 11th, during International Fight Week.
At 25 years old, Gable Stevenson is an Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA champion, with a dominant record in college wrestling of 85 wins and only two losses. The athlete also had a brief stint in American football, even being part of the Buffalo Bills roster in the NFL, in addition to an experience in WWE that did not materialize.
