And 'Bones' likes the idea of ​​facing the Cameroonian icon so much that he is willing to put an end to his career in the sport's biggest organization.

So much so that Jones, who was a VIP guest at the event and also participated in its broadcast, revealed his desire to leave the UFC. It's true that the former light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) champion, even though retired, still has an exclusive contract with the company. Therefore, the agreement prevents the veteran from competing for any other company.

Knowing he's "stuck" in Dana White's league, "Bones," whose dream of returning to action at UFC Casa Branca against Alex Poatan on June 14th was ignored, openly lamented his desire to be released from his contract. However, since the UFC president is at odds with Ngannou and has shown irritation with Jones's attitude, the chance of the contract being terminated is minimal.

“I need to focus on trying to terminate my contract with the UFC. That will be the hardest part for this fight to happen. I think Dana isn’t interested in doing business with Ngannou. Doing it with MVP would probably be the only way the fight would happen. If we can terminate my contract, that would be great,” said the best fighter in MMA history.
