Carlos Prates maintains a routine that is, to say the least, unusual for an elite UFC athlete. Currently ranked second in the welterweight division (up to 77 kg) and representing Fighting Nerds, the Brazilian awaits an opportunity to fight for the belt against Islam Makhachev . While waiting for that chance, the fighter continues to fulfill a curious personal 'goal' of weekly parties.
In an interview with Jaiden Cabble's YouTube channel, Prates revealed that after his fights, he usually goes out three to four times a week. The athlete explained that, although he still maintains the rhythm, he already feels the weight of age at times, which makes him reduce the frequency occasionally.

“Now, after a fight, maybe three or four (times a week). Maybe three… I’m getting old now, so sometimes I get tired… We go out, we create good memories with my friends. Good stories to tell my children when they grow up,” said Carlos Prates.
Carlos Prates is having a great run in the UFC.
