Tallison Xicão arrives with high confidence for the duel at UFC Macau , scheduled for next Saturday (30). Scheduled to face Sergei Pavlovich in one of the main fights of the event, the Brazilian is considered an underdog, but believes he has turned that scenario around after a period of training alongside Glover Teixeira and Alex Poatan.

During his appearance on the Overdogs Podcast, Xicão highlighted the importance of training with Glover and emphasized the impact of sharing the mat with Poatan. According to the fighter, the experience of training with renowned athletes, especially someone of the caliber of the Pataxó fighter, who is among the top names in the sport, makes a direct difference in his mindset.

“Glover has always been a benchmark in grappling, I trained with them at other times to improve. Obviously, training with Alex gives me extra confidence, because I'm going to fight the third-ranked fighter and training with Alex, who is one of the greatest in the sport, ends up making me more confident,” said Tallison Xicão.

Xicão compared the scenario to preparing alongside less experienced athletes and stated that the set of training sessions carried out with the duo was crucial in making him arrive more confident for the confrontation.

"It's one thing for me to be training with Joãozinho, who has never fought in any event, and another to train with a guy who is one of the biggest names in the sport. So, combining the training I did with Glover and Alex, I'm going into this fight confident," concluded the Brazilian giant.
