Dustin Poirier adopted a more cautious tone when analyzing Max Holloway 's favoritism in the highly anticipated rematch against Conor McGregor . The Hawaiian faces the Irishman in the main event of UFC 329 , scheduled for July 11th. Even with 'The Notorious' away from the octagon for five years, 'The Diamond' believes there is still a path for him to emerge victorious.

During an appearance on the 'WEIGHING IN' podcast, Poirier compared McGregor's return to that of Nate Diaz , who recently fought in the first MMA event broadcast on Netflix. According to the American, Conor should deliver a superior performance to the 'stoner guy' and, despite his long inactivity, will remain a real threat due to his knockout power, especially against Holloway, who has accumulated considerable damage in his recent fights.
