According to the fighter, his favorable statements regarding the dictator behind one of the most violent periods in modern history served as justification for preventing his attendance at the event, something Mitchell made clear he saw as an injustice.

“I definitely won’t be able to go because, you know, I said I was going fishing with Hitler. They’ll never let me in there. They took something I said out of context and then told the world that I’m the bad guy… I’m an American farmer, I help feed the people in this country. You have these billionaires telling me I’m not American. They’re cowards, and they’re the ones who aren’t American,” he stated.
