With the highly anticipated UFC Casa Branca approaching , Alex Poatan could reach unprecedented heights if he manages another victory, at least according to Dana White. The Ultimate CEO, who in recent years has clashed with journalists at various press conferences by defining Jon Jones as the leader of the world's pound-for-pound ranking, added a new layer to the discussion by declaring that the Brazilian could surpass Bones and become the greatest fighter of all time if he wins against Ciryl Gane . The bald man addressed the issue in an interview with Forbes this Friday (5).

Known for his skill in promoting the fights of the organization he represents, White was brief and to the point in defining his opinion regarding the co-main event of the night. It is worth noting that the two heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg) are fighting for the interim belt in the category, since Toma Aspinall still holds the undisputed title.
“If (Pereira) wins his third world title that night, he surpasses Jon Jones and becomes the greatest of all time,” declared the UFC CEO, who has already had the opportunity to witness the rise and fall of some of the biggest names in the sport's history.

Possibly the biggest star in the sport right now, the Brazilian could become the first athlete in Ultimate history to win belts in three weight classes. In November 2022, still early in his career, he knocked out Israel Adesanya in the fifth round to become the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg). Later, he would capture the light heavyweight crown (up to 93 kg) by defeating Jiri Prochazka.
