Maurício Ruffy believes he is getting closer and closer to taking a decisive step towards the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg). The Brazilian is scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC Casa Branca , scheduled for next Sunday (14), and understands that a great performance can boost him in the rankings and bring him closer to a title fight.
Ruffy emphasized that it's not just about winning, but about how the victory will be achieved. He stated that he is confident in a remarkable performance and intends to present something special in the fight, reinforcing the expectation that a triumph could put him in a privileged position in the race for the belt.

Brazil will be represented at UFC Casa Branca . In the co-main event, Alex Poatan attempts an unprecedented feat. The former middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) champion is seeking the interim heavyweight (up to 120 kg) title against Frenchman Ciryl Gane.
Besides Poatan, Mauricio Ruffy and Diego Lopes are the other Brazilian athletes on the card. They face Michael Chandler and Steve Garcia , respectively.
