Scheduled for the co-main event, the Brazilian, who is moving up from light heavyweight (up to 93 kg), weighed in at 113,8 kg, while the Frenchman registered 112,4 kg. The weight difference quickly caught the attention of fans, who began to question whether the fighter would be slower compared to his rival. However, the champion himself addressed these doubts with his actions.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Poatan appeared in a mitt training session and impressed with his speed. In the footage, Plinio Cruz holds the pads while the Brazilian unleashes rapid sequences of punches and kicks, under the watchful eyes of Glover Teixeira.

Brazil will be represented at UFC Casa Branca . In the co-main event, Alex Poatan attempts an unprecedented feat. The former middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) champion is seeking the interim heavyweight (up to 120 kg) title against Frenchman Ciryl Gane.

Besides Poatan, Mauricio Ruffy and Diego Lopes are the other Brazilian athletes on the card. They face Michael Chandler and Steve Garcia , respectively.
