Ciryl Gane 's performance at UFC Casa Branca was so brilliant that even his rivals had to pay him homage. In the co-main event of the media-covered show held last Sunday (14), in Washington (USA), the Frenchman made short work of Alex Poatan , dispatching him in the second round and winning the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg). Impressed by the knockout delivered by the athlete, Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones showed great sportsmanship.
Gane arrived for the fight against the Brazilian amidst controversy and being seen by many fans as a kind of villain. But, in the octagon, the Frenchman ignored the controversies, showed no respect for Poatan's striking skills, and demonstrated who's in charge of the division. Interestingly, 'Bon Gamin' faced the Cameroonian and the American in 2022 and 2023, respectively, and was not well-received by either.

In the past, Ngannou had been a training partner of the Frenchman, but he cut ties with his former team and distanced himself from him. In the duel, the Cameroonian got the better of Gane, but had difficulty. In turn, Jones alerted the referee about 'Bon Gamin's' controversial conduct in the octagon and, in that moment, quickly finished him in the first round. In any case, the MMA stars, through the 'X', managed to see evolution in the athlete, who won the interim UFC heavyweight belt for the second time.
